Description
The University of Southern California is one of the world’s leading private research universities. An anchor institution in Los Angeles, a global center for arts, technology and international trade, USC enrolls more international students than any other U.S. university and offers extensive opportunities for internships and study abroad. Located in the heart of Los Angeles, USC’s University Park campus is part of the city’s Downtown Arts and Education Corridor and is home to the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and many professional schools.
This tour will highlight sustainability features of our University Park Campus and our new self-guided tour system, linking sustainability points of interest to detailed information in a multimedia format. The tour includes a lunch at our University Club, featuring produce grown in our urban demonstration garden. We will visit a variety of sites including our urban garden, our dining hall food waste program, our Solar Decathlon studio, and The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The tour will be led by USC’s Sustainability Program Manager.
